About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sonographer to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and generating accurate diagnostic reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, and general scans
  • Generate high-quality diagnostic reports and communicate findings to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Liaise with other departments and professionals within the Trust to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in the BMUS recommended Peer audit review process to maintain high standards of practice
  • Supervise and mentor ultrasound students, newly qualified staff, and other professional groups
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Sonographer with current registration with a statutory regulator, a DCR or Degree in Radiography, and a PGD in ultrasound or equivalent. You will have experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound and be able to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing your workload efficiently.

You will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with other professionals and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. You will also be proactive in regards to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and committed to maintaining high standards of practice.
