Cranleigh STEM, a leader in Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment, is collaborating with a prestigious organization that specializes in the design and production of superconducting electromagnets for scientific applications. We are seeking a dedicated individual to become a vital part of their team.
The role of Installation Testing & Service Supervisor involves guiding the TI&S team and managing the daily functions of the team. This includes delegating tasks, clarifying roles, and tracking progress to ensure efficiency.
Moreover, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the TI&S schedule to guarantee that all obligations are met. This entails overseeing the engineering team, their tools, and resources, both in the factory's testing zones and at client sites globally.
To qualify for this position, candidates should have prior experience in a similar installation or service engineering/management capacity, possess outstanding communication and customer service abilities, and be open to international travel.
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: £45,000 - £55,000

Key Duties:
- Adopt a flexible mindset to accommodate changing demands, proactively managing future workloads by ensuring sufficient resources, equipment, and personnel are available.
- Encourage the growth of the testing team through continuous training and practical experience, maintaining competency records to facilitate appropriate task assignments.
- Advocate for proactive problem resolution while judiciously escalating issues to technical experts when necessary.
- Act as the main liaison for clients and prospective customers, providing guidance and solutions, which may include after-hours support.
- Deliver accurate project cost estimates, create and document quotations, and manage orders to foster business development.
- Ensure thorough documentation is maintained for testing and service activities, adhering to company standards and timelines.
- Foster a positive and proactive attitude within the team, prioritizing safety above all and ensuring the successful execution of tasks.
