Job Title: Social Work Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Assistant to join our West Kent Disabled Childrens Team 2 within the Strengthening Independence Service. As a Social Work Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the role of Social Workers within the team and working closely with colleagues in the Disabled Young Peoples Social Work teams and other key agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of disabled children and young people aged between 0 and 18.
  • Support the role of Social Workers within the team and have an allocated caseload.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Disabled Young Peoples Social Work teams and other key agencies.
  • Participate in an extensive training and development programme to further develop your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Childrens Services is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deliver the highest quality service to young people with disabilities, their families and carers.
  • Ability to work flexibly across a large geographical area.
