Role Overview
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Inspector to join our dedicated Property Services team. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Services, this role is crucial in ensuring our clients receive top-notch service and quality accommodation by performing the following duties:
- Overseeing both internal and external repairs, maintenance, refurbishments, and compliance works across our retirement properties, coordinating with external consultants and contractors as necessary.
- Ensuring that all properties meet compliance standards, are functional, and are maintained to the highest quality.
- Assisting the operations team with property-related inquiries and processes, fostering strong communication and relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Property Services team and Lodge Managers.
- Conducting on-site property assessments to gather accurate stock condition data for future asset management and maintenance planning.
This position is operational in nature, and responsibilities may evolve as the company expands or through personal development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
As our homeowners are at the forefront of our mission, it is essential that you share our commitment to outstanding customer service. Your skills in relationship management and communication will extend to a diverse range of suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a HNC or degree in a relevant property or construction discipline and ideally be pursuing a professional qualification in construction, such as RICS or CIOB.
You should have a solid understanding and experience in construction, property maintenance, health and safety regulations, and building compliance matters.
The successful applicant will be well-organized, proficient in IT including MS Office, detail-oriented, and possess a proactive, adaptable approach to work. You will thrive in a dynamic environment.
