About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team at SSE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key procurement and supply chain solutions across a range of projects and portfolios in our Networks Transmission business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic category plans, procurement strategies, and contracts to support business goals and objectives.
  • Provide robust pre and post-contract management, including supply chain engagement, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead the interface between Transmission and Category Management teams to ensure demand requirements are properly communicated and procurement strategies are incorporated within group-wide category plans.
  • Collate and consolidate supply chain intelligence required for Transmission project teams and monitor and report on procurement events.
  • Undertake full range of tendering activities for Transmission-specific events, including commercial analysis of contract/tender submissions and negotiation of contract terms.
Requirements
  • Quantity Surveying degree/CIPS or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing supply chain activities, including framework management and supply chain management.
  • Experience of managing contracts on significant projects or programmes of work, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Experience of NEC forms of contract, including contract drafting and contract administration.
