Nursery Practitioner Job Description

Nurse Seekers is seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team in a fantastic setting that prioritizes the educational, physical, social development, and communication of the children in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in planning activities to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that equipment and machinery are in good working order and report any issues to management for repair or maintenance.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of the nursery environment at all times, identifying and addressing any concerns promptly and reporting to the Nursery Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, children, and parents/carers to create a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the importance of assessment and the ability to ensure all children receive statutory progress checks.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills to maintain accurate records of key children's development and learning journeys, sharing this information with parents, carers, and other professionals.
  • Availability to participate in out-of-hours activities, such as training, staff meetings, and other professional development opportunities.
