About the Role

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for leading the Wholesale Banking team in the UK, driving business growth and profitability through strategic planning and execution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the local Lending strategy, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Manage and oversee the UK-based Transaction Management and Portfolio Management teams.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, data quality, and remediation, as well as sound management of financial and non-financial risk.
  • Lead the roll-out of relevant regulatory programs and system implementations.
  • Owning the local Lending product proposition and quality, including process standardization, sourcing, and implementation of the Lending Digitalization Journey.

Requirements

  • Senior banker with at least 15 years of Lending or Lending-related experience in wholesale banking.
  • Management experience in a wholesale banking environment.
  • Strong commercial drive combined with a well-developed risk awareness and strong analytical skills.
  • Great communication skills and organizational sensitivity with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Naturally collaborative person who can effectively operate within a matrix organization.
  • Profound track record in driving employee engagement and acting as a trusted partner to stakeholders.
