We are seeking an experienced Strategic Agricultural Sector Lead to guide the integration of agricultural sector needs into our regional planning processes. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction at the highest levels of decision-making within WReN, collaborating closely with other sector leaders, water companies, and stakeholders. The Strategic Agricultural Sector Lead will develop a strategy and action plan to incorporate agricultural needs into WReN's regional water resources plan. They will represent the diverse agricultural sectors, from arable to livestock and horticulture, ensuring that all interests are considered. The role will involve sitting on key WReN committees and working groups, including the Strategic Delivery Group (SDG) and the Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG). The successful candidate will also oversee projects impacting the agriculture sector, such as PWS abstraction changes and the development of Water Abstractor Groups (WAG). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the agricultural sector, preferably in a senior or advisory role. They will have an understanding of the technical challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in the region. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and strategic planning is essential.
