About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Manager to join our client's general practice team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing audits, delivering complete audit files, and supervising junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and finalize audits to ensure compliance with primary accounting frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality audit files for manager review and approval.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on technical accounting and audit matters.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS.
  • Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600) for various entities.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and consolidated accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients and stakeholders, including direct contact with senior management.
  • Motivate and encourage team members to achieve high performance.
  • Provide a professional, efficient, and personal service to clients.
  • Assist with internal training and development of junior staff.
  • Engage in special projects as needed, such as company valuations and HMRC investigations.

Requirements

  • Qualified in ACA/ACCA or an equivalent internationally recognized chartered accounting qualification.
  • Technical proficiency in relevant accounting and auditing standards.
  • High level of personal motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
