Job Summary

The Department for Business and Trade is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Indo-Pacific market portfolio and drive the Team's approach to attracting equity investment into UK-based space companies.

This is a stimulating and exciting role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work at pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Indo-Pacific market portfolio and develop strategies to attract equity investment into UK-based space companies.
  • Manage inward investment in line with the National Security & Investments Act and other legislation/policy.
  • Support companies to export their sensitive technologies appropriately and build more resilient and secure supply chains with partners and allies.
  • Coordinate trade missions for UK-based space companies to participate in large international conferences and events.
  • Closely manage inward investors in both the UK and overseas markets and support implementation of the Private Investment Framework for Space.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work at pace.
  • Proven track record of engaging with industry and private investors.
  • Experience of engaging internationally.
  • Experience of the space sector.
  • Experience of working across Whitehall.
