Job Title: Assistant Bar Manager

At Fundamental Hospitality, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. As a key member of our bar operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and compliance in our beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Excellence: Lead by example and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
  • Quality and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of quality and hygiene in all aspects of bar operations, including cleaning and maintenance, stock management, and food safety.
  • Cost Control and Compliance: Work closely with the Bar Manager to achieve targeted margins, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Sales and Productivity: Collaborate with the Bar Team to drive sales and productivity, identifying opportunities to improve sales and revenue growth.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to the bar team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality.
Weekly Responsibilities:
  • Stock Management: Conduct weekly stock checks and report any discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
  • Training and Development: Send weekly training materials to the FOH team and provide feedback on their performance.
  • Reporting: Send sales breakdown reports to the GM/AGM and Brand Beverage Manager.
Bi-Weekly Responsibilities:
  • Stock Take: Conduct a bi-weekly stock take on the 15th of every month and report any discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
  • Meeting with Bar Manager: Attend bi-weekly meetings with the Bar Manager and Head Bartender to discuss progress and address any concerns.
Monthly Responsibilities:
  • OS&E Inventory: Conduct a monthly OS&E inventory for the bar and report the count to the Bar Manager.
  • Training: Conduct monthly training sessions for the FOH team to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest knowledge and skills.
