Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical specialties team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with a range of medical conditions, including cardiology, diabetes/endocrinology, gastroenterology, general medicine, and respiratory and rheumatology.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience.
  • Develop and maintain a broad range of knowledge and skills in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, charge nurses, and senior charge nurses.
  • Participate in ongoing education and development opportunities to enhance professional practice and career progression.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid PIN and NMC UK registration.
  • Experience in medical specialties, with a strong understanding of cardiology, diabetes/endocrinology, gastroenterology, general medicine, and respiratory and rheumatology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to demonstrate high professional standards of care and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and development opportunities to enhance professional practice and career progression.
