Refrigeration Specialist

Location: Dundee

Salary: £45,923.75 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

We are working with our client 'City Facilities Management' to find a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join their team.

This is a key position, responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.

You will be the first point of contact for all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.

The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM's, ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.

All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
3. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
4. Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
6. Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
7. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
8. Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
9. Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.

This role requires:

• Multiple years' experience in refrigeration and supermarket experience.
• Flexibility in working hours is essential for this role as well as the ability to be on call 13 weeks per year.
• You must be a fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer with Refrigeration Handling C&G 2079 qualification (Fgas Qualification).
• You should hold a NVQ / C&G Level 2 in Refrigeration or equivalent.
• You must have a full, valid UK driving Licence.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Equipment diagnostic and equipment repair skills.
• Ability to work at heights and be competent in the use of access equipment.
