Our client, a leading government and defence organisation, is seeking an experienced Performance and Planning Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing key control and governance expertise to support the delivery of projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate planning workshops and schedule analysis to ensure accurate and reliable project schedules.
  • Provide quality assurance across the delivery environment, ensuring compliance with approved planning processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio, programme, and project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
  • Lead and facilitate planning workshops and training sessions to ensure effective planning practices are adopted.
  • Advise on planning best practice and provide coaching to project teams as needed.
  • Support resource planning and utilisation analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Generate reports on project performance and circulate to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Advanced level experience in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring using Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Knowledge of NEC4 forms of contract management and ability to create/update project plans, schedules, and costs.
  • Ability to utilise earned value analysis to determine project performance.
