Job Summary

Eximius Finance is seeking a highly experienced Fund Controller to join our team. As a key member of our fund accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of multiple funds and separately managed accounts (SMAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with service providers to manage fund net asset values (NAV) and fund accounting processes, including estimated fund NAVs.
  • Prepare computations and calculations supporting the funds, such as equalization, management fees, drawdowns, internal rates of return (IRR), performance measurement, currency hedge exposure, tax, and intragroup financing.
  • Prepare fund dividend and distribution recommendations and coordinate payments.
  • Assist with aspects of launching funds/fund structures/fund share classes.
  • Assist with onboarding investors into the funds.
  • Assist in the execution of private loan deal closings/settlements.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Confident dealing with a variety of senior stakeholders, including presentations, strategic, and regulatory discussions
  • Circa 10 years of work experience in a similar fund accounting role
  • Experience of primary and secondary debt market or private equity preferred
  • Knowledge of asset management, RIAs, and fixed income financial products, including public debt funds (UCITS and 40 Act)
  • Familiarity with preparing and reviewing capital call and distribution calculations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations, and preparation of financial statements
  • Knowledge of partnership accounting
  • Knowledge of IFRS and other GAAP (Lux GAAP & US GAAP)
  • Strong proficiency in databases, including Excel
