We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children Safeguarding Team within the Social Care industry in Somerset County Council. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured and organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting Initial Assessments and Core Assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Participating in Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews to provide expert advice and guidance.
- Providing evidence in court proceedings to support the best interests of children.
- Managing a varied caseload of complex cases, including Section 47 investigations.
- Preparing and presenting court reports to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and educated to Degree Level. You will also need to have an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy, and initiatives, as well as experience working with Children and Families. Additionally, you will need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK and previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding or Children Safeguarding Team.
