About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our Process Explorer group at Synopsys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance silicon chips and software solutions that drive innovation in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced process emulators using geometric and physical models to create complex and realistic 3D structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize semiconductor fabrication processes and develop high-performance silicon chips.
  • Develop and maintain large code bases using modern software engineering practices, including writing testable software.
  • Work with worldwide teams to develop and implement GPU programming and scientific Python ecosystem solutions.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and contribute to the development of new technologies.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
  • Strong background in numerical methods and mathematical modeling.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in C++ software development.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with modern software engineering practices, including writing testable software and managing large code bases.
  • Experience in working with worldwide cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in GPU programming.
  • Proficiency in Python and the scientific Python ecosystem.
