About This Role
As an Estates Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hospital facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance to minor repairs, contributing to a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, tests, repairs, and installations across various hospital properties, plant systems, and infrastructure as directed.
- Execute assigned tasks diligently, completing all documentation accurately according to established procedures.
- Promptly report any identified faults during routine checks, planned preventative maintenance, or regular work activities.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks and maintain detailed reports as required, adhering to trust policies and guidelines.
- Identify necessary parts and equipment for assigned tasks and utilize the Estates Stores system to procure them in accordance with financial regulations.
- Investigate technical failures, determine permanent repair solutions, and ensure ongoing reliability and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Provide support to other estate staff at all levels by assisting with technical work and problem-solving as needed.
- Strictly adhere to trust procedures when a 'permit to work' is in place.
- Accurately record time worked and job details using the handheld computerized CAFM system app, along with any other relevant computer systems.
