Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join our Technical Innovation team at Taylor & Francis Group.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology platforms that shape the future of knowledge. As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and deliver software products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement reliable data pipelines to support the team with consistent, well-managed data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and agree on designs.
  • Implement solutions independently or in conjunction with other team members.
  • Evaluate and leverage third-party solutions as part of an overall software solution.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience as a software engineer/developer with proven skills in application design, architecture, and development.
  • Experience in creating systems that leverage or incorporate AI into an overall solution.
  • Experience in data manipulation and related data technologies, including relational databases and specialized data stores.
  • Experience creating and using RESTful services and web applications.
  • A range of experience across multiple languages and technologies, including Linux, Windows, Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, SQL, MongoDB, and Neo4j.
  • Experience in various front-end technologies, such as React, Angular, and jQuery.
  • A proven history of working productively as a member of a remote, global team, alongside evidence of independent working.
  • Ability to demonstrate and foster critical thinking and problem-solving in a team environment.
