About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Commis Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious hotels in Colchester. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail. You will be required to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, following recipes and instructions to produce high-quality dishes. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Chef in maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Follow recipes and instructions to produce high-quality dishes
