About the Role

Climate17 is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on biodiversity and ESIA/ESDD projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement biodiversity management plans and action plans for clients
  • Conduct ESIA and ESDD studies, including developing project reports and applying international guidelines and legislation
  • Support clients in developing biodiversity/nature-positive strategies and working under international and local guidelines/legislation
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure report requirements are met
  • Represent the firm at meetings with clients, lenders, and stakeholders, and provide expert advice on environmental sustainability
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in environmental sciences
  • Undergraduate degree in environmental, biological, biophysical, or social sciences (post-graduate degree preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with IFC Performance Standards and the Equator Principles
