Copyright and Licensing Oversight

  1. Assist in the organization and management of copyright and licensing for all IMO sales publications, including various language editions and collaborative publishing efforts, ensuring compliance with technical and security standards.
  2. Facilitate regular assessments and evaluations of rights and licensing inquiries, identify challenges, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  3. Support the supervisor in negotiating and drafting agreements and contract renewals, as well as reviewing royalty statements.
  4. Deliver rights management training sessions to team members.

Business Development Initiatives

  1. Contribute to the drafting and execution of standard operating procedures related to rights and licensing.
  2. Assist in establishing and nurturing relationships within the publishing sector, including rights and licensing service providers.
  3. Support the development of strategic recommendations for the rights and licensing of IMO sales publications.
  4. Participate in the creation of distribution strategies for IMO sales publications across diverse platforms, including licensing agreements with maritime industry solution providers.

Innovative Practices

  1. Stay informed about trends and technologies in rights and licensing, and assist senior team members in advising management on innovative approaches such as subscription models and customized licensing agreements to enhance revenue opportunities.
  2. Compile statistical analyses and reports on rights and licensing activities, offering suggestions for improving business practices.

Sales and Marketing Support

  1. Assist in executing initiatives to promote IMO's sales products to a worldwide audience, utilizing both digital channels and in-person demonstrations to maximize visibility and effectiveness.
  2. Help manage relationships with distributors.
  3. Collaborate with other sales team members in addressing inquiries and customer support requests through the sales email account and/or by phone.
  4. Provide cross-functional support within the Publishing Service, stepping in as necessary to ensure operational continuity.
