Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Support students with behavior management, using de-escalation strategies to prevent conflicts and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining continuity and ensuring students' learning needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse staff and pupil groups.
  • Patience, commitment, and a willingness to work in a challenging but rewarding environment.
  • Ability to adhere to safeguarding procedures and report incidents promptly.
  • Good role modeling, setting expectations, and maintaining positive and professional boundaries with students.
