Highways Maintenance Technician

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Highways Operative to join our team at our Okehampton depot in West Devon. As a key member of our Cyclical Team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of over 300,000 drainage assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve programme targets
  • Comply with company health, safety, and environment standards
  • Carry out highway drainage cleaning to the required benchmark
  • Utilize on-site electronic devices to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience/knowledge in using electronic devices
  • Ability to work to a high standard and meet deadlines
  • Good timekeeping skills
  • CSCS certification
  • Knowledge of the West Devon area
  • Chapter 8 or 12D certification an advantage, but can be provided
  • Previous grounds maintenance experience beneficial
Working Conditions:
  • Must possess manual dexterity and be able to use hand tools
  • Will work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven ground
  • Ability to work in confined spaces without restriction
