About the Role:

Kent is seeking a Waste to Fuels Specialist to enhance our Low Carbon Consulting team. This role is pivotal in driving the development of Waste to Fuels production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical guidance for the design and implementation of Waste to Fuels production facilities.
  • Support business development initiatives through technical presentations and proposal preparation.
  • Manage Waste to Fuels studies, including feasibility assessments and detailed design projects.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with budgetary and scheduling constraints while maintaining high standards.
  • Represent Kent at industry conferences and contribute to discussions on energy transition.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams and consultants.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Assume full technical ownership of assigned projects.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined, you may be asked to undertake other tasks as required by management, ensuring flexibility in meeting the organization’s dynamic needs.

Your Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field, with Chartered Engineer status.
  • Extensive experience in Waste to Fuels studies and engineering management.
  • Profound understanding of feedstock processing and fuels production.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard simulation software.
  • Strong knowledge of Waste to Fuels plant design and operational interfaces.
Communication Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Core Competencies:
  • Proven leadership in managing consultancy teams.
  • Successful track record in managing complex studies.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects within set timelines.
  • Expertise in preparing cost estimates for engineering studies.
  • Innovative and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of creating detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Strong planning and forecasting capabilities.
  • Understanding of construction requirements and their implications on project options.
  • Willingness to explore new technology areas, including electrolytic hydrogen.
