Family Carers Ireland is a national charity supporting over 500,000 family carers across the country. We provide a range of supports and services for family carers nationally from our local support centres.

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting a Support Manager to join our team. This role will report to our Regional Support Manager: Intensive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using a strengths-based case management approach, connect family carers to partners, external agencies, in-house and on-line supports, including education programmes, respite and/or counselling.
  • Provide general carer case management, with a focus on older persons, disability, children with additional needs or families of people with mental health challenges.
  • Work in collaboration with Support Manager: Community (SMCs) to ensure a seamless holistic service is provided to family carers.
  • Develop and deliver a broad range of supports, involving carers and other stakeholders in the community.
  • Engage in reflective practice, supervision and be an active member of their assigned network.
  • Deliver on agreed individual targets and network targets.
Requirements
  • QQI Level 7 qualification or higher in Social Care / Community Development/ Psychology/Train the Trainer/Guidance / Counselling / Education.
  • Previous case management experience providing support to families or carers.
  • Excellent IT Skills- mainly MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and HR reporting systems etc.
  • Experience and confidence using virtual technologies such as Zoom, Teams and other videoconferencing platforms.
  • Proven networking skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Drivers licence, with access to car.
What We Offer

We offer a permanent, full-time contract (37 hours per week) with a hybrid model of working from home and from Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24. The remuneration for this role includes an annual salary of €41,200 and access to a defined contribution pension scheme. The annual leave entitlement for this role is 26 days per year.
