Job Summary


Cititec Talent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our client's growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with designing and developing innovative data analytics platforms.


About the Role


The organisation is a leading provider of services to a diverse customer base, with a strong presence in the commodities and trading sectors. As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for building high-performance data pipelines for trading exchange, FX, and fundamental data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative data analytics platforms using Python and AWS.
  • Build high-performance data pipelines for trading exchange, FX, and fundamental data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relational databases using PostgreSQL.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong Python development skills, with experience with Pandas.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with building ETL data pipelines.
  • Relational database experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of tech within our stack: AWS, Apache beam, Kafka.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming.
