About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Training Lead to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training and support to our clinical staff in the use of DIALOG+ care planning.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver a comprehensive training program for clinical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use DIALOG+ care planning.
  2. Collaborate with the DIALOG+ project team to plan, implement, and evaluate training plans, ensuring they meet the needs of our local areas.
  3. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clinical staff, helping them to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these.
  4. Work closely with local teams to ensure the effective implementation and use of DIALOG+ care planning, providing assurance to the Community Transformation DIALOG+ Implementation Group.
  5. Stay up-to-date with local and national DIALOG+ recommendations and policies, ensuring our service remains relevant and up-to-date.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered Nurse, AHP, or Psychological professional registration with the appropriate body.
  • Recognised teaching and assessing/mentoring qualification.
  • Experience of working in a leadership clinical role.
  • Evidence of clinical leadership skills in healthcare settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of inequalities faced by people with a mental health diagnosis and receiving mental health care.
  • Ability to act as an educational lead.
