We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to lead our team of Healthcare Assistants and Donor Care Supervisors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe assessment and blood donation of our donors, while maintaining a positive working environment and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Main Responsibilities- Take clinical responsibility for ensuring the safe assessment and blood donation of our donors.
- Be accountable for the safe running of a blood donation session.
- Take responsibility for ensuring an excellent donor experience.
- Maintain the competency and skills of your team and yourself.
- Be able to adapt communication styles for difficult conversations.
- Maintain your professional development to help us deliver improvements to our practice.

- 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years' service and to 33 days after 10 years.

- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (which must be maintained) as Registered Nurse Adult.
- Hold a full and valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and understand the principles of best practice to deliver high-quality care.
- Have experience of supporting the professional development of others.
- Have an understanding of clinical audit and research.
- Have experience of supporting improvements and change in practice.
- Have an awareness of patient safety initiatives and risk management.
- Have experience of working with Information Technology such as hand-held devices and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
