As a Financial Analyst on the UK Controllership team, you will report directly to the Manager of UK Controllership and will be accountable for group, statutory, and regulatory reporting, as well as ensuring the financial integrity and governance of UK legal entities. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Audit & Finance Committee, Company Secretary, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Global Finance Operations, Operational Excellence, General Counsel, and the Business to support diverse legal entity initiatives.
What impact will you have in this position?

- Compiling month-end reports based on legal entity Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Serving as the primary contact for all inquiries related to legal entities.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS (FRS 101) and facilitating the external audit process in collaboration with the Legal Entity Reporting (LER) team.

- Actively seeking opportunities for process enhancements across all areas of responsibility, through the implementation of new systems and Oracle tools, eliminating non-value-added tasks, and streamlining functional procedures.
You will be tasked with maintaining legal entity governance while accounting entries and processes are executed by various teams, many of which focus on line of business outcomes. Effective coordination with cross-functional teams and influencing business partners and stakeholders on legal entity and accounting requirements will be essential. You will also support the assessment and communication of IFRS implications when primary ledgers are maintained under US GAAP, as well as understanding and implementing local regulatory or policy-driven changes to deliver high-quality and precise financial information within critical deadlines.
Demonstrating personal accountability will be crucial to ensure that all tasks and activities are completed within the required timelines, addressing issues, and making decisions independently while applying sound judgment to determine when escalation is necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant, preferably with practice or audit experience.
- Background in accounting, reporting, and statutory audit.
- Familiarity with IFRS reporting requirements (knowledge of US GAAP and UK Companies Act is also advantageous).
- Proficiency in MS-Office applications and experience with Oracle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- Experience in a large corporate or global matrix environment.
- Results-oriented - capable of handling multiple tasks, adhering to strict deadlines, and prioritizing effectively.
