Opportunity for a Court of Protection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Associate/Senior Associate to join our Exeter office and manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including advocacy and inquest work primarily for the NHS. The ideal candidate will have experience in Court of Protection, including health and welfare applications and s21A MCA 2005 challenges, as well as advocacy and case management skills.

The successful candidate will work in a team that provides high-quality legal services on complex matters and will have opportunities to work with independent sector health and social care clients and local authorities. The firm offers a strong remuneration package, excellent benefits, and hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including advocacy and inquest work
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Court of Protection, including health and welfare applications and s21A MCA 2005 challenges
  • Provide high-quality legal services on complex matters

Requirements:

  • Experience in Court of Protection, including health and welfare applications and s21A MCA 2005 challenges
  • Advocacy and case management skills
  • Good understanding of the NHS
