Role Overview

The primary focus of this role is to cultivate and nurture trusted relationships with both existing and prospective clients. You will be tasked with delivering customized investment guidance and managing client portfolios, ensuring alignment with the company's investment philosophies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to and support client requirements
  • Implement the annual business strategy in accordance with established individual objectives
  • Foster new client relationships while enhancing existing ones through exceptional service, aiming to reduce attrition and generate new referrals from satisfied clients
  • Conduct and lead client meetings professionally, ensuring all information shared is current, accurate, and tailored to client needs
  • Design and maintain appropriate portfolios that reflect clients' needs, circumstances, tax implications, and risk tolerance
  • Regularly review portfolios and make necessary adjustments in consultation with colleagues, as appropriate
  • Execute transactions accurately and promptly
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning and Professional Services teams to strengthen client relationships
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records in accordance with Group policies
  • Strive for zero complaints, and when they arise, ensure they are addressed with the Client Resolution team promptly, assisting in achieving satisfactory outcomes
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and skills in line with industry, regulatory, and internal standards through ongoing professional development
  • Participate actively in team efforts focusing on direct equity or collective sector analysis to support the firm's broader investment needs
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the sector to provide well-informed recommendations
  • Take ownership of tasks during regular meetings and collaborate with other sector specialists
  • Prepare materials as required by sector teams to aid in analysis and communication with Investment Managers
  • Lead the team and ensure compliance with established standards where applicable

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the financial services sector and investment landscape
  • Proven experience in managing client investment portfolios and delivering investment advice
  • Familiarity with restructuring newly acquired portfolios to align with investment policies
  • Technical knowledge of diverse investment management strategies and the ability to communicate them effectively
  • Capacity to thrive in high-pressure environments and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities
  • Experience in leading pitches and securing new business
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and an understanding of risks associated with private client operations
