The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the operational management and effective delivery of diverse services within the housing sector. The successful candidate will provide exceptional leadership to support staff, empowering them to assist residents in making positive life changes and informed decisions towards independent living.

- The organization operates mainly in Surrey, with five key centers.
- A dedicated team of over 130 staff and volunteers works collaboratively to achieve the charity's mission.
Key Responsibilities of the Housing Support Operations Manager
- Supervise housing support personnel at various properties, including senior support staff, volunteers, and temporary staff.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and team discussions with support staff.
- Manage support programs, ensuring effective facilitation by support officers and volunteers.
- Address disciplinary issues in collaboration with the Head of Housing when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Head of Housing and senior staff to implement trauma-informed practices aimed at reducing evictions.
- Achieve key performance indicators set by the Head of Housing to monitor and evaluate progress in assisting young individuals towards independent living.
- Oversee daily support activities, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and best practices.
- Serve as the on-call and duty officer for designated properties.
- Ensure that staff develop move-on plans for residents and provide appropriate follow-up support.
- Be available to work outside regular hours as required by the role.
- Prepare and lead quarterly monitoring reports and meetings for relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that support staff maintain accurate records and meet monthly reporting requirements.
- Assist the Head of Housing with managing rental income and occupancy rates.
- Ensure the safeguarding of residents through effective support and risk management plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations in all client interactions.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Preferred qualification: CIH Level 3 in Housing or higher.
- Extensive management experience in housing or support services, particularly with young people.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in housing support.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with various agencies and professionals.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting for performance improvement.
- Familiarity with compliance for external inspections and accreditations.
Essential Skills and Attributes
