Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our client's team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of direct and indirect tax compliance processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management of tax compliance processes: Ensure all deadlines are adhered to for corporation tax, VAT, and plastics tax, working closely with the in-house tax team, accounting shared services centre, and external tax advisers.
- Oversight of statutory accounts reporting: Support the team in ensuring all deadlines are met for monthly group and annual statutory accounts reporting, as it relates to tax.
- Assist with tax enquires and queries: Support the team in dealing with any tax enquires or queries from HMRC.
- Provide tax guidance and advice: Support the team in providing tax guidance, advice, and support across all taxes to the business and wider organisation.
- Annual PSA preparation and submission: Assist in the preparation and submission of the Annual PSA, assisted by an external provider.
- Support implementation of Global tax policies: Support the implementation of Global tax policies, including transfer pricing.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant or tax professional.
- Experience: Previous in-house experience at Manager level is desired. Exposure to multiple taxes would be an advantage, both direct and indirect.
- Skills: Excellent written and communication skills, ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously, and research as needed.
As a Tax Manager with Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, you will receive a competitive salary and flexible working options, including hybrid working after two weeks, with 3 days at home and 2 in the office.
