Position Overview: Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Educational Support Assistants to provide essential support within our Special Education Needs (SEN) institutions.
Role Context: Our organization collaborates with various specialized schools that serve students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), learning challenges, global developmental delays, and social, emotional, and mental health issues, including ADHD and other behavioral difficulties.
While prior experience is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates with transferable skills from fields such as caregiving, youth work, or even those with backgrounds in sports or the arts are encouraged to consider this opportunity, as our students often engage with learning through innovative and non-traditional methods.
Working Hours: We particularly welcome applicants interested in full-time positions, as consistency is crucial for the children in SEN settings. However, part-time and flexible roles are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students both inside and outside the classroom, providing one-on-one or small group support.
- Develop and implement strategies to help each child achieve their potential in a nurturing and professional manner.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and respect while working independently or as part of a team.
- Engage in recreational and educational activities, including swimming, sports, music, and more.
- Adapt communication styles to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as necessary.
- Prioritize safety and safeguarding at all times.
We encourage individuals passionate about education and youth development to consider this role, as we are committed to supporting our candidates throughout the application process.
Application Requirements: All applicants must possess the necessary qualifications and training for this position. For further information regarding qualifications, please refer to the FAQ section on the Teaching Personnel website.
Commitment to Safety: Teaching Personnel is dedicated to ensuring the safety and welfare of children. We conduct thorough safeguarding checks on all employees in accordance with statutory guidance.
We provide all registered candidates with complimentary training in child protection and prevent duty. All candidates must have or be willing to obtain a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with full support provided.
