Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Specialist to join our team at GE Vernova. As a key member of our Grid Solutions team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality repair services for our HVDC converter projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics and experience with fault diagnostics, firmware, and software. You will work closely with our team to resolve technical issues, ensure accurate documentation, and implement 5S and ergonomics practices in the repair cell.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic repairs and fault diagnostics on HVDC converter equipment
  • Work with firmware and software to resolve technical issues
  • Test setup and familiarization with software and hardware
  • Desiccant canister renewal and burn-in testing
  • Voltage dielectric withstand and temperature sensor tests
  • CT linearity and calibration tests, splicing, and marry-up processing for fibre optics
  • Fibre optic cannister replacement and splicer maintenance
  • Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis investigation and reporting
Requirements
  • Strong electronics background and experience with fault diagnostics
  • Knowledge of firmware and software
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
