About the Role
The Commercial Director will play a key part in the success of our client, a leading civil engineering company in the Midlands. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial function and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial team, including the Commercial Manager, Managing Estimator, and estimators/surveyors
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring the company's interests are protected
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive business strategy and decision-making
What You'll Need
- Proven experience as a Commercial Director or in a similar role
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Experience of managing commercial teams and driving business growth
