Role Summary

As a Lifting Equipment Specialist at Brandon Hire Station UK, you will be an integral part of our team, tasked with driving hire and sales performance while ensuring the maintenance, inspection, and servicing of lifting machinery to uphold safety, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations. Your contributions will be essential in meeting our customers' requirements and fostering the overall success of our organization. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow and develop within this sector.

Key Duties

  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various lifting machinery, including cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-hire and post-hire evaluations to guarantee equipment is in prime condition before reaching clients.
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, executing necessary repairs to maintain equipment functionality and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with service and operations teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure timely equipment availability.
  • Drive lifting hire and sales revenue consistently, leveraging both existing and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in line with company protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Emphasize health and safety practices, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to clients regarding proper equipment usage, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment as necessary, ensuring safe and efficient handling of heavy machinery.
  • Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and stay informed on industry advancements.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the equipment rental or construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of lifting equipment mechanics, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related fields are advantageous.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
