About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible General Assistant to join our team at Maryport Activity Centre. As a General Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive image of the centre by providing a welcoming and professional operational service to customers and the public.
  • Prepare areas and equipment for events and activities as required.
  • Carry out routine monitoring and maintenance of equipment and fittings, reporting any faults or major repairs to the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective control of day-to-day operations and services, maintaining security, cleanliness, customer supervision, and equipment checks.
  • Prepare areas and equipment for events and activities as required.
  • Ensure equipment is used safely and is fit for purpose prior to customer use.
  • Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness at all times.
  • Promote the facility in a positive manner to retain existing customers, encourage greater participation, and introduce new users.
