At Cancer Research UK, our mission is to defeat cancer, and we are seeking dedicated professionals who share this vision. We are looking for a skilled logistics coordinator to enhance our trading team. In this role, you will serve as a representative of Cancer Research UK, contributing to the success of our shops and superstores by managing the distribution of both donated and new merchandise.
You will be part of a team that is equally committed to the cause of beating cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the team to discover opportunities for acquiring quality donated goods.
- Partnering with the superstore manager to identify and collect furniture and stock for the store, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Facilitating effective stock movement by transferring items between shop locations as needed.
- Supporting both divisional and national stock transfers related to stock generation initiatives.
- Assisting with the opening and refurbishment of new shops and superstores by managing the logistics of stock and equipment.
- Utilizing your customer service expertise to ensure our customers and supporters feel valued and welcomed.
- Aiding in fundraising events through the movement of stock and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Significant driving experience with a proven ability to drive safely and confidently, even in unfamiliar areas.
- Experience in manual handling and the capacity to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency in completing paperwork accurately and managing your workload effectively in a busy setting.
- A valid driving license and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proximity to the region is essential; a manual vehicle will be provided, and travel expenses will be covered in accordance with Cancer Research UK's travel policy.
