Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ecologist to lead and deliver high-quality work for a variety of projects. As a Senior or Principal Ecologist, you will play a key role in managing projects, providing advice on ecology and biodiversity, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, providing expert advice on ecology and biodiversity
  • Lead ecological surveys and assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and biodiversity net gain assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Design and implement mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts
  • Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success

Requirements

  • Degree in Ecology or a related field, with a strong understanding of ecological principles
  • At least 5 years of experience in ecological consultancy, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work
  • Experience in project management and report writing, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
