EDF is seeking skilled Safety Case Engineers to support various projects across our nuclear operations. These positions are crucial for ensuring the safe generation and decommissioning of power stations, including those involved in the construction of new nuclear facilities.
As a member of our Nuclear Operations division, you will engage in projects focused on safety cases aimed at optimizing and extending the operational lifespan of our existing fleet. This includes addressing safety cases for both reactor operations and fuel routes, as well as tackling the challenges presented by defueling processes.

Your Responsibilities...
As a Safety Case Engineer, you will be integral to the development and maintenance of the nuclear safety case throughout the lifecycle of the power plant. Your role will involve:
- Providing technical leadership to resolve complex issues related to construction, commissioning, and safe operations.
- Engaging with various disciplines within the organization and collaborating with external regulators and suppliers.
- Defining and delivering safety case requirements to ensure compliance in a regulated environment.
- Developing skills across a range of technical and engineering disciplines through planned work and emergent challenges.
Who You Are...
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A proactive and dynamic approach to working across multiple disciplines.
- The ability to synthesize complex data and strategically plan safety case delivery.
- Strong analytical skills to identify solutions and challenge existing strategies.
- Excellent organizational abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
A minimum of a HNC or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field is preferred. Experience in areas such as hazards, structural integrity, and mechanical systems is advantageous.
