With significant investments planned for our projects, we are seeking a seasoned project professional to enhance our Project Assurance function. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of key infrastructure projects, adhering to our governance standards and operational procedures.

Your Role:
As a Project Assurance Specialist, you will:

  • Foster a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Project Assurance Manager to develop and implement the annual assurance strategy.
  • Educate stakeholders on the importance of project assurance.
  • Define the scope of assurance reviews and independently conduct these evaluations.
  • Execute the annual assurance plan with a degree of autonomy.
  • Ensure reviews are performed according to established methodologies.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables, including assurance review reports.
  • Lead external support teams to ensure compliance with engagement plans.
  • Engage with key project stakeholders independently.
  • Draft comprehensive reports for various audiences, including executive management.
  • Develop and track KPIs to assess project delivery trends.
  • Maintain independence and objectivity in all functions.
  • Analyze assurance action trackers to identify thematic focuses.
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support conclusions and reports for management.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical or quantitative field.
  • Preferably a degree in project management, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMI, APM, or Prince 2 will be advantageous.
  • Experience in infrastructure and civil engineering projects is preferred.

Key Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years in project controls, consultancy, delivery, or assurance roles.
  • Experience in project risk assessment and management.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
