Sewell Wallis is working with an IT/Software company based in Chesterfield to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their team. The role requires good knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chase overdue payments and resolve customer queries in a timely manner.
  • Maximise cash collections and allocation, and escalate relevant accounts when needed.
  • Process and code invoices, and support the team with billing and purchase orders.
  • Manage the purchase ledger, match and code invoices, and perform bank reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience with Accounts Receivable is essential.
  • Ideal experience of Sage Intacct or another cloud-based system is desirable.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, is required.
  • Studying towards AAT or other professional accounting qualification is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise workload is essential.
