Site Engineer (Electrical Bias) Job Description

Pareto FM is seeking a skilled Site Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our clients' assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the timely completion of maintenance and reactive tasks associated with client assets.
  • Perform regular and periodic inspections to maintain the efficiency and safety of M&E installations, including fire safety, firefighting equipment, and security systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and computer-based record management systems to nationally agreed standards.
  • Carry out necessary maintenance works on M&E services and installations, including electrical systems, heating and hot water installations, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Ensure works are completed to standard and against budget, meeting key client requirements and satisfaction.
  • Support the arrangements for subcontractors to undertake routine and emergency breakdown maintenance.
  • Assist the client in setting maintenance priorities, forward programmes, and budgets.
  • Prepare delegated planned maintenance projects, schedules, and specifications, and place orders.
  • Provide technical M&E advice and support to the client.
  • Liaise with other professionals undertaking project work and contribute site and maintenance information.
  • Liaise with the client and other Pareto FM staff to develop and disseminate national best practice in M&E maintenance and procedures.
  • Participate in site and property teams and provide technical input in other areas, such as security, health and safety, risk assessments, and utility infrastructures.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Asset Management Plan to inform the planning and management of works across the estate.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and systems.
  • Previous experience of performing a Building Services Engineer role.
  • Ability to work unsupervised to a high quality.
  • Relevant qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
