The successful candidate will possess expertise in diverse welding methodologies for the fabrication and assembly of aerospace components.
Key responsibilities encompass operating semi-automated circumferential and longitudinal welding apparatus while strictly following quality, safety, and operational guidelines.
Role Overview:
Engage and cooperate with team members and various departments to guarantee effective workflow and timely project delivery.
Uphold safety standards and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a hazard-free workspace, to foster a secure working environment.
Identify and resolve challenges during the welding process, such as equipment failures or material inconsistencies.Evaluate completed welds to ensure compliance with internal and external quality benchmarks (NADCAP and AS9100) and adherence to specifications, preserving structural integrity and quality assurance.
Maintain comprehensive records of welding tasks, including materials utilized, work accomplished, and any issues encountered, for quality control and documentation purposes.
Execute welding operations using various techniques, such as TIG or MIG welding, to join metal components.Prepare metal components, ensuring proper alignment and setup for the welding process.
Regularly service and clean welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent malfunctions.
Stay informed on emerging welding techniques, technologies, and industry advancements through continuous training and skill enhancement.
Interpret technical schematics and welding symbols to ensure precise execution of welding assignments.
Operate semi-automated welding machinery for circumferential and longitudinal welds.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of successful welding experience (MIG and TIG) with a minimum of 5 years.
Demonstrated capability to meet and strive towards production objectives.
Familiarity with semi-automated welding processes.
Desirable Attributes:
Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles (5S).
Experience within the aerospace sector.
