Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Haverhill

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation: Competitive salary with attractive shift differentials

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00

Friday: 06:00 - 11:00 or 11:00 - 16:00

Join a global leader in the food and flavor industry within their Quality Control division, where you will be responsible for ensuring that both raw materials and finished goods adhere to rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical evaluations of client samples and manage non-conformance documentation utilizing laboratory instruments and various analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS, Karl Fischer, UV-Spectrophotometry, particle size analysis, extraction, and pH measurement.
  • Input analytical results into SAP systems.
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment is compliant with ISO 17025 standards.
  • Perform chemical investigations into both internal and external non-conformance issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop comprehensive instructions for rework processes related to failures and maintain adequate laboratory inventory and supplies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt and work flexibly.
  • Experience in a Quality Control Laboratory performing chemical analyses in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in SAP and its various functionalities.
  • Able to operate independently within a dynamic team environment.
