About the Role

Body & Soul Charity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Casework and Advocacy to lead our member support and casework service. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of trauma, mental health, and welfare rights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support members in need of casework and advocacy services.
  • Supervise a team of volunteers to deliver high-quality casework and advocacy services.
  • Conduct initial assessments and casework assessments to understand member needs and develop action plans.
  • Manage a caseload of high-needs members and provide ongoing support and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education to degree or postgraduate level.
  • Experience working with people with mental health needs or those who have experienced trauma.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and welfare rights, including immigration, housing, and homelessness.
  • Ability to develop service strategies adapted to emerging needs.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse community from various nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality work.
