The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Director and will be tasked with overseeing the execution of key investment and enhancement initiatives. This position requires collaboration with the senior management team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, adhering to timelines, budget constraints, and the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute detailed project plans, encompassing scope, timelines, budget estimates, risk assessments, and resource distribution.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Act as the main liaison for all project stakeholders, including internal departments, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Encourage effective communication and teamwork among stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring precise forecasting and financial management throughout the project duration.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Champion a robust safety culture, ensuring all project activities are conducted safely.
- Guarantee compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases.
- Lead and inspire project teams, providing necessary direction, support, and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large-scale capital projects within the chemical, petrochemical, or similar sectors.
- A proven history of successfully completing projects on schedule and within budget.
- Expertise in the administration of IChemE and NEC Form of contracts.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
