Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our Extra Care Services team. This role is vital in providing holistic, person-centered support to our residents.
Location: The Orchard, Combe Down, Bath
Working Hours: Part-time with a shift pattern that includes alternate weekends and some bank holidays.
Welcome Payment: A Welcome Payment of 5% of the starting salary is available upon successful completion of the probationary period, subject to eligibility criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Assist in overseeing and guiding the care team, including managing electronic work schedules and supervising staff.
- Care Coordination: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Health Oversight: Monitor the health and well-being of residents, ensuring timely interventions to prevent hospital admissions.
- Medication Oversight: Ensure accurate management, documentation, and distribution of medications as prescribed.
Candidate Profile:
While prior experience in a senior care position is beneficial, a strong commitment to providing quality care is essential. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in a supportive environment.
About Extra Care Services:
Extra Care Housing offers individuals with care needs a secure tenancy in a self-contained flat within a specially designed environment. Our services have received a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This role operates on a rota system, including early shifts starting at 7:30 am and late shifts concluding at 10:15 pm, with additional pay for bank holidays.
